Tuesday, Dec 20 – “Welcome  ברוכים הבאים”
•  Program begins: 9:00 AM meet at the Tayelet Promenade in Jerusalem for opening ceremony and shehecheyanu
•  Drive to Kibbutz Tzuba for activity with volunteers or chocolate workshop at Galita
•  Return to Jerusalem
•  Check in to the hotel
•  Dinner and orientation
Overnight: King Solomon Hotel, Jerusalem (or similar)

 

Wednesday, Dec 21 – “Encountering the Land and Inhabitants of Israel”
•  “Dig for a Day” hands-on archaeological experience at Beit Guvrin National Park
•  Visit the Israel Guide Dog Center for the Blind in Beit Oved, and learn how these wonderful animals are trained
•  Return to the hotel
•  Evening out in Jerusalem, dinner individually
Overnight: King Solomon Hotel, Jerusalem (or similar)

 

Thursday, Dec 22 – “Jerusalem of Gold”
•  Tefillah at Robinson’s Arch or Azarat Israel
•  Tour the Davidson Center and Southern Wall excavations
•  Personal time at the Kotel
•  Shopping and lunch individually in the Jewish Quarter
•  Explore the City of David or Kotel Tunnels
•  Return to the hotel, dinner

Friday, Dec 23 – “Yerushalayim Shel Kodesh Vechol”
•  Visit Yad Vashem (adults) or the Jerusalem Biblical Zoo (children)
•  Supermarket sweep and picnic lunch
•  Return to the hotel and prepare for Shabbat
•  Shabbat candle lighting (16:01)
•  Kabbalat Shabbat in the Old City
•  Shabbat dinner at the hotel
•  Oneg Shabbat

Shabbat, Dec 24 – “Shabbat in Jerusalem”
•  Shabbat services at a choice of local synagogues
•  Shabbat lunch at the hotel
•  Rest time and activities for children
•  Walking tour of local sites
•  Havdalah (17:21)
•  Evening out in Jerusalem, dinner individually

Sunday, Dec 25 – “Dead Sea: A Natural Wonder” – Hannukah I
•  Check out of the hotel
•  Tour Masada (ascend and descend via cable car)
•  Relax, eat lunch, and swim in the Dead Sea at the Ein Gedi Baths
•  Drive to Kibbutz Mashabei Sadeh
•  Check in to the guesthouse, dinner
•  Hannukah candle lighting

Monday, Dec 26 – “Explore the Negev” – Hannukah II
•  Visit the graves of Paula and David Ben Gurion in Sde Boker, overlooking the panoramic view of Nahal Tzin
•  Hike into the canyon of Ein Avdat National Park
•  Lunch individually in Mitzpe Ramon
•  Learn about the story of Israel’s first astronaut at the Ramon Visitors Center
•  Get up close and personal with the animals at the Alpaca Farm
•  Return to the kibbutz, dinner

•  Short tour of beautiful and historic old Jaffa
•  Check in to the hotel

Thursday, Dec 29 – “Tel Aviv: The First Hebrew City” – Hannukah V

•  Visit Independence Hall, where the State of Israel was declared

•  Lunch individually in Tel Aviv
•  Tour the Palmach Museum or test your skills at the Olympic Experience
